How to Use Beard Balm?
What is beard balm?
Beard balm is a leave-in conditioner that conditions, moisturizes, softens, and styles your beard.
What ingredients are used in high-quality balms?
Most beard balms contain shea butter for moisturizing and softening the beard, sweet almond oil for additional conditioning and promoting booting growth, and a protectant (like beeswax) for sealing in moisture and styling the beard. These ingredients are aimed at facilitating proper beard grooming and when naturally based (like all products on beardedshop.us) should have no negative side effects on your beard or skin.
High-quality beard balms are usually scented with natural essential oils instead of synthetics. Synthetic fragrance oils often contain toxic chemicals that can irritate your skin. Synthetic balms also contain alcohol that can leave your beard more dry and brittle in the end. Remember to read the ingredients of the beard balm before buying it (or shop at beardedshop.us, we only use natural ingredients that are ethically sourced).
How do I use Beard Balm?
Use daily after washing your beard with an all-natural beard wash. Make sure to apply to a DRY not wet beard for best results.
- Scrape out a dime-sized amount of balm and rub between your palms.
- Run your fingers through your facial hair, starting from the neck and working up, making sure to rub balm into the skin where your beard grows. This will help nourish facial hair at the roots.
- Brush the balm through your beard with a boars hair beard brush to distribute the balm evenly through your beard and style as desired.
All-natural beard balms containing shea butter and beeswax can be left in until you wash your beard.
